As part of its mission to build bridges between different generations of researchers, Menassat for Research and Social Studies is organizing the second edition of the Socio-pause. The sociologist and professor Bouchaib MAJDOUL will be invited during this activity, focusing on his career and experience as a sociologist and researcher in the socio-anthropology of health and illness. The event will be held on Monday June 19, 2023 from 4:00 p.m., at the Menassat headquarters.
The Socio-Pause is structured around two objectives:
The first is a stop on the journey of a renowned sociologist in the field of
sociological research. It is a look back at his experience, his achievements
and his publications. But also a stop on the state of sociology in Morocco. The
second is a transmission of knowledge to enable young researchers to benefit
from the experience of the guest sociologist.
The socio pause will be a moment of sharing, listening
and interaction. It will also be a moment of intergenerational exchange, where
a particular emphasis will be placed, during this edition, on the career of the
researcher in the health field in Morocco. In this sense, it will be a question
of equipping young doctoral students with adequate means for any research,
starting from the collection of data, and through the processing of the latter,
in order to interpret and analyze them. The Socio-Pause will then be the
opportunity to strengthen the capabilities of around twenty young doctoral
students.
As a reminder, the first edition of Socio-Pause was
attended by the sociologist and professor emeritus Jamal KHALIL, around his
book “ « L’Analyse Longitudinale & Transversale de l’Entretien, Un moment
de construction methodologies avec les autres en temps de confinement ».
