ABOUT US

Menassat for Research and Social Studies is a social research institution and non-profit organization based in Casablanca, Morocco. Our main mission is to conduct in-depth sociological research that leads to new ideas for solving problems facing society at the local, national, and regional level.

MENASSAT STRUCTURE

Menassat consists of researchers from several disciplines who specialize in different sociological fields. The research agenda of the institute is determined by its members and researchers. Menassat is made up of many highly capable researchers including nine professors of sociology, five doctoral students, and five collaborative researchers.

MISSION

To achieve excellence, Menassat intends to function as an open scientific platform offering a space for research, studies, and debates for both researchers and civil society. Another mission of Menassat aims to develop fundamental sociological research, conduct studies, offer expertise, and train young sociologists in research. The main goal of Menassat is to objectively analyze social data in order to inform public decision-makers, academics, opinion leaders, and representatives of civil society.

The MENASSAT Center for Research and Social Studies has launched a research dynamic on individual freedoms in Morocco. The Dar Eddaya hotel in Khemisset hosted, from November 27th to the 29th, 2020, a series of conferences and trainings, in partnership with the GermanHanns Seidel Foundation, on the theoretical and practical aspects of sociological work on individual freedoms as a transversal subject.
